Ads warning guys they may be suffering “low T” seem to be everywhere! Low T is commercial code for low levels of the male hormone testosterone. The hormone is approved for certain medical conditions, but is being marketed as a quick fix for things like low energy, low sex drive or body changes like having lower muscle mass.  Levels of testosterone do naturally drop as guys get older, but do men really need to replace what they’re not making anymore? Dr. Gregory Lowe is a urologist and expert in men’s sexual health at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He warns that testerone supplements are not the fountain of youth and not right for everyone.
